I am reading a scenario called global communications. please explain what technological sophistication means?

The company wants to outsource jobs to India and Ireland and small business owners are looking for technologial sophistication and these countries have it. What are the alternatives to technological sophistication for this telecommunications company who want to transform into a global corporation within three years?

Technological sophistication is the ability to use the latest and highest technology available. It is my thought that in the telecommunications industry, that you would not want to use alternative means unless the situation would warrant it. An example might be where the company would use countries that have the highest technology to design a product but use another country that doesn't have that technology but may be able to assemble the components at a labor rate that is less expensive. India is a country that is advancing rapidly in high technology along with China. China,Mexico,Malaysia and others are good countries with the the labor rates that are good for the assembly of those components.
