Joining a military in the EU other than your own...?

Obviously, if you live in an EU country, you can take a job and live in another EU country freely, without restriction. If you speak the language fluently, does military jobs come under this also?

For example, if you're a British citizen could you join the Republic of Ireland's military, or if you were fluent in Spanish, could you join the Spanish Military?

Actually people in the irish republic can join the brittish military. the irish guards is a regiment made up of people form northern ireland and the republic.
the french foreign legion is made up of soilders from countries around the world. At the end of their service they can become french citizens and given a new name and identity

no you hat to have lived in the country for a minimum of 4 years and then fill out a large form to explain your origins then they do a full background search to see if your trust worthy and then they decided whether to even accept your application

We don't have a military here in Ireland. .
Ireland is a Neutral country and not a member of NATO. We have a defence force which protect the state. To answer you question can an other EU citizen join another EU army the answer is no. This is not in the EU treaty. Each EU memember is in charge of their own military. The previous answer is wrong about four years etc. That is not true.
