How does most of you guys feel about the United States outsourcing jobs to India and other overseas countries? |
How does most of you guys feel about the United States outsourcing jobs to India and other overseas countries? I tend to take the John Stossel view on the subject - despite what all of the politicans and the media say, outsourcing actually helps this country. It leads Americans to get more education and better jobs which pay higher wages. In the past ten years, the unemployment rate has actually gone DOWN, despite all of the "outsourcing" and the "taking of American jobs" that have been going on. Dammit, when I call customer service for my cell phone, I want to speak to someone who speaks ENGLISH! Well, I suppose it's good for THEIR economy! globalization is an impending force which benefits all capitalistic transnationals. By outsourcing manual labor, the United States experiences a shift from low to high technology intensive economic sectors. Its better for us in the long run. my massive phallus Outsourcing is better for us as now the US won't have to waste precious resources in manufacturing cheap McDonald toys and instead focus on things like iPods, computer technolgoy and medical services. |
