Why do they outsource customer service jobs to other countries like Latin America and India? |
Granted it is to save costs, but rather customer services jobs where it requires you to speak fluent English to customers rather service jobs that do not require English. Especially Dell, where i have heard nothing but complaints about the customer service when you have to repeat something ten times or a whole lot of mis-communication. Whatever you say, the Latins and the Indians are the best and that's why all big companies move their CS there. people will work for less in these countries the mighty dollar rules because it's cheaper to outsource due to the fact that people will work for cheaper fares It is purely economics. They can pay a lot less. At some point, however, i think there will be enough backlash in complaints so that companies will rethink their policy. I used to work as a relay operator, so i dealt with them on a daily basis. Unfortunately, many of them can only read from prepared scripts and can only understand basic English. If more of us would contact corporate headquarters for those companies, maybe we can exert enough pressure to get them to rethink their policy. Meanwhile, they are taking away jobs from others who need a job. Let's hope they will change this soon. |
