Dear My Yahoo Friends: what type of small jobs are available for MR/MILD AUTISTIC SPECIAL PERSONS,(Age:above16yrs.) Rather than money occupation is the main requirement. We have given 3 to 4 years vocational training for M/R,Mild Autistic Special Children and are searching for some kind of assembly work/ Home based work,likeself employment/ office work/or anything that will keep them OCCUPIED with resonable returns.we don't mind to invest a small amount. In the United States, we work in conjunction with large companies like Wal Mart, small local businesses who need routine simple tasks completed on a regular basis, and have "sheltered workshops" where those who are too severe for the "real" workforce make simple crafts to sell to help support their group homes. You need to be the one to set this up in your own community. Think about the benefits your newly trained workers can offer an employer. For instance, autistics, and people with MR, will do what they have been taught to do in exactly the same way/pacing/accuracy each and every time. They are extremely reliable for routine, simple tasks. With a familiar trainer there to supervise and provide support for behavior, they can be trusted absolutely to provide quality products and perfectly organized stocked shelves, etc. Once you have written your proposal, including hours of work, types of work your people are trained for, supervisory duties, etc., go to local businesses. It is especially good to have a video of your people "independently" hard at work doing something that business needs.
