What are the untouchables in (anicient india) in the past like what jobs would they do?

please for a history project

ancient india..... not that ancient tho....the society was divided into four castes-- Brahmins (the preistly class), Kshatriyas (the warrior class), vaishyas (the business class) and the Shudras ( the untouchables). the untouchables were considered to be very inferior. they were deprived of using public well, restaurants or boarding the same coaches in which the higher castes travelled. they did menial jobs like that of cobbler, servants, sweeper, carpenter, and the other kinds of menial jobs.

In the caste system, they were the lowest of the four classes. On the top were the brahmans, or the religious holy men. After that were the warriors/soldiers. The 3rd class was the farming or working class. And at the bottom were the untouchables. They were, in general, shunned. They would do all the menial jobs that no one else wanted to do (like the jobs on the show Dirty Jobs on the Discovery Channel).
As far as i know they are made to clean public baths, toilets and the like...they are not given much enough food...living either in shanties or the streets
