Barclaycard announces 600 jobs to go here they are moving to India to get cheaper labour do u think this is fa I think everyone should take a stand and cancel their account with Barclays... this kind of thing will continue to happen unless we make a stand! No offence to Indian people... but english is their second language and they fail to distinguish words/conversation which isn't text book english..... no of course i dont think its fair but what can we do Barclays customers will leave in droves. It would appear that other companies are reversing this trend, and bringing call centers back to the U.K. because of ,....ahem, problems with Indian call centre operators. you mean "fair"? well no.. they only doing this because of drops in profits, and this is totally the wrong way of settling it. moving call centres to india will mean poor communication between customers and the call centres (call centres in india are useless) and many people are to lose their jobs, why cant Barclayes see the trend in other companies when they moved their call centres to india, they all moved them back to the uk (well the majority). prediction: barclays profits will continue falling, customers will be disatisfied and angry, and they will have no option but to bring the call centre back to the UK, or send english speaking employees there It's called a free economy - there are very few financial institutions that have any morals or ethics I lost my job with JET2 because the call centre went to India. Its all wrong!!!!! No its not fair at all. I might close my account. |
