How do u feel about outsourcing of jobs from tech support to teaching to consulting to India? |
Have you been BANGALORED or SHANGHIED?How did you feel about it?How would you react if your job was outsourced? How can USA fight back the outsourcing phenomenon. Is it here to stay?Share your view. If the people in the USA were willing to do the same jobs for the same wages, then perhaps the jobs would stay there. But labour is so much cheaper in India I think. But it should work out, because a good economy occurs when money is moving around, right? Wealthier Indians will spend more, perhaps buying American products, and then Americans get a bit richer and will require products and services from India, and it goes on. The economy that you and I power thrives on paying the least amount of money for a job. If someone in Bangalore will do it for less but just as well why not outsource? From a buisness standpoint is exonomically a better idea. Plus operational costs are a lot cheaper there. Food for one is a fraction of the price it would be here. We as consumers need to keep informed about buisness practices we feel are wrong and activly support those who we feel do right. IE. Stop eating at Dunkin Dounughts. They take atvantage of their foreign employees by having them work overtime and then erasing all over time hours. Thats not right. Never can understand the peps from Dell Tech. Support If you've lost your job due to outsourcing, then I can understand your gripe. You have two choices at this point: either find another job, or start your own business. If you're an I.T. tech who's been downsized due to outsourcing, then you may want to consider another career path. Outsourcing is here to stay.....It makes business sense for large companies to outsource their tech. support division. Outsourcing is a boon to the Global Markets too. The more money people in "those countries" make, the more they spend. And the overall economy grows. Don't worry, there are still plenty of good jobs here in the U.S. if you want 'em. (stop complaining! Complaining doesn't make you money! Remember that). And if you're tired of seeing your jobs outsourced, or you just can't find a "decent job," then START YOUR OWN BUSINESS! This is America, dummy. The opportunities are there as long as you are active and industrious enough to seek them out. |
