Should prostition be legal?

I have been in germany for a few years and see how there prostitues get taxed like a normal job.I think that would be something good for the states.So those people who are sex deprived can just go out and spend 50 bucks an a hooker and save some poor women the horrors of rape because some people cant get laid and resort to that terrible acction.So i am for the european 50 euro suck and f**k!
But of course that would be in my pre marrige days

In germany and holland there hookers get tested every 2 weeks and condoms must be worn..They have a lower rate of STD'S then the typical women on the street..they have it down pretty good.

Any thing you do to yourself should be legal. It's your body. If abortion is legal, (because it's your body..) than so should assisted suicide, self-mutilation, prostitution, and drug use. If you want to hurt yourself, and you aren't involving/hurting others...then it should be legal to do so.

Well if you think about it guys we pay for it anyway. We pay for the dates and eventually we toss out enough cash we get some. At least a hooker has an upfront cost. Besides you don't pay her for sex you pay her to leave.

Crimes against women would decrease significantly. Also, sexually transmitted disease could be reduced and eventually eliminated, especially if it required patrons and sellers to have certificates showing their latest tests.

You're so wrong. Men already cheat on their wives without making it easier for them. Diseases are a constant problem and saying they have to follow rules doesn't mean they all do. If you need to pay for sex, there is definitely something wrong. Rape will still occur since it has been proven it isn't done just for sex. Are you going to be honest with the woman you marry and tell her you slept with prostitutes? That would put a few women off.

It may sound appealing to you and rewarding, but in the end we all are going to be judge based on our actions when we die.
