How can we say that we are losing this war, or that we have lost too many men?

One battle in WWII cost us 54,000 men. The battle of Normandy. D-Day itself cost us 2,500 men. Was that too much to ask for the freedom of France, Germany, England, Europe, the World? 2,500 men were lost over 3 years in the current war. I think we have done an excellent job in minimizing deaths over there. In WWII, we would bomb whole cities, now we use precision missles, that occasionally kill more than the intended target.

I agree. Anytime you have war, you are going to lose men, and anyone who doesn'tthink that needs to go back and learn history. We haven't been attacked since the war started. In my eyes we have succeeded into halting terrorists from coming back onto american spoil. And so many people are so upset anout people dying in the war for "no reason", what about all the drive bys and stupid crap that go on here in the us everyday that kill hundreds of people. It's like over there life is priceless, but here it costs about as much as a bullett.

We?I doubt if you are posting this from Iraq or Afghanistan,which makes you just another armchair general.To say "peace is not possible without war",means never-ending war.You are a total idiot!Btw.The American death toll has just reached 3000,none of them related to you,i'm sure,("THIS IS WAR PEOPLE DIE").Bush is preparing to send 30,000 more targets to Iraq,much to the delight of the Insurgents.

i assume you are not counting the innocent iraqi civilians that are also dying and bush is getting ready to send tens of thousands of more troops.. so this is only escalating. Its not true that peace can only be achieved through war either
