Employment in France?

Im a U.S. citizen who is thinking about moving to France. I'm also told that it's almost next to impossible to find a job if your not native french. Is this true? That would throw a massive wrench in my plans? I have a B.S. in business administration and am looking for some answers...

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Don't move? Horrible answer... I'm not doing this for the reason of employment, it's just one of my (main) concernts. I was told in order to get a job in France I would have to provide a service or intellegence that cannot be met interally by their current residents?!? Is this so?

I m french , NO you don t need to be native french.
You can look for some companies which need some people for their international business. Many companies are looking for (native) english speaker. It s important to know at least some french , looking for an important job in France without speaking french it would be the same thing as looking for a good job in the US without speaking english. France it s not like sweden where you have most of the population speaking english.
You can also seek some US companies in France , there are plenty of them.
Most of the jobs are located in the major urban areas, Paris, Lyon, Lille....
I would like just to know , have you ever been in France ? because it s quite different from the US , i don t know if you will find the same living conditions : on one side it s much better (the french food, healthcare system, school) on the other side it s worse. France is not a paradise at all.
The best way for living and residing in France , get married with a cute french girl lol...
Good luck and welcome in France.

Thank you very much , i am currently an exchange student in the US, and please don t believe what some people may tell you, we are not all arrogant nor anti american.
I love America , God bless America. Report It

My wife experienced the same thing. Don't move to France would be my suggestion.

why would u want to move to france for the purpose of employment ?
even though i dont know you personally but my advice would be dont move to france
reason
1. Language trouble
2. jobs dont pay well
3. cost of living is very high

find a french or us company that has a branch there and transfer
