I'm obsessed with? will this work out?

france! i love paris and i would love to live there!
if i finish a good college in the U.S can i get a good job in france and live there (learn the language and stuff)

will; this work out/ or i should just stay in the U.S?

sounds like if you don't do it you would always think back about it and wish you had. plus it just sounds really fun!

Do what you feel is right in your heart don't listen to anyone. Learning a language is easy once you live there.

learning another language is not easy regardless of what the knucklehead above me says, but it is possible. You can take classes possibly in school to help you get started. And if you want to live there, sure why not. Do as your heart desires, maybe you could even go to college there.

I was obssesed with going to Japan ever since I was 7 and started taking Aikido...16 years later I finally got my chance.. I was stationed there for three years.. i already had learned Japanese. I met my wife and we have a child...when I leave the navy soon, I will be going to live in Japan and work there as well.
So yes.. it is definately possible.

Ummm, I'd do a visit first. Get with yer sis and do a Euro hostel/rail pass vacation to check out several different countries.

Paris is expensive, dangerous and they don't like non-French people. Really - they are very discriminatory.

Monaco sounds nicer....

Reality: Getting a work visa (unless you have a EU passport) is tough. And they are VERY particular about the language - it's not easy to learn, and what can I say...you will never, if you live there 60 years, be accepted as French.

But, if you choose the optimum career path, you can make things work:

1. Start language studies NOW, and be serious about it. (That's free, you know - costs nothing to learn a language...)

2. Consider what careers allow the ease of movement into international situations. Business springs to mind, but you need to balance the research against what you like to do.
