Renting a House in Bend OR for free only for maintance and manage a business? Is this a Scam or something?

I put and ad in craigslist looking for housing. I麓m travelling to Bend Oregon this winter 2008 only for 3 months (I麓m Peruvian and I麓ll work in Mt. Bachelor). Few days after these a woman sent me an e-mail. Plz, let me know what u think:

A lady on her 50s who is living in France wrote me offering her house for free only for maintance and manage her business helping her to receive payments from her clients within the USA on her behalf in my name and have it cashed cos they pay mostly checks and money orders and have the funds wired to her there in France thru money gram/western union transfer. If we accept we can get this as a job and win 10% of each one.

It麓s not a requirement accept living in her house but even if we live far from there she would like to make those movements of her business. She ask for my personal info in order to verify me and make a test diligence here in Peru. If all goes well we麓ll be partners and she麓ll return to Bend to show me the house and give me the keys

Why would a business owner have money transferred to them via money gram or western union. it costs money to wire money through western union so it isn't worth it. Its fine for emergencies, but just plain bad business. She would just get an account or two. One business account and one personal account. It doesn't sound legit. So don't trust it.

What they do is send you a check and have you cash it at your bank. Your bank covers the check and gives you the money right away. It will take a few day or even weeks for the checks to clear or bounce. If they do bounce you are responsible for the money. So pretty much they are trying to scam money from you through your bank.

if it sounds to good to be true...then it probably is. it might be your golden ticket but it might be your ticket to jail for fraud. do what you think is best, but be careful. good luck to you.

If it sounds too good to be true then it usually is.

This sounds very suspect to me.
