I have gaps in my CV - depression etc?

This is my REAL CV 2003 finished Uni in May, working till July, bummed around for 2 months, for 3 months till october I did an internship. From October to December did a door to door fundraising job but got no money so quit. Looking for a job. in Feb I got a job at a voluntary place but only stayed 2 weeks because I found out I was pregnant and I was very ill. For the next 9 months I had hyperemesis. I worked for a couple of months as a care worker then they fired me when they found out I was pregnant. I was suffering from postnatal depression after and was in an abusive relationship. I did not have a visa to work so I could not. The home office had my passport for 6 months at one point and I do not believe in being dishonest so I just could not work. Eventually i separated from my partner and in October last year I went to France for 6 months to work for an NGO. I am now doing a Masters.

So from After the internship in 2003 to the internship in 2006 I have nothing proper

I cant say Oh, I got myself pregnant, then had a difficult pregnancy so I wasted 3 years in a bad relationship not working and depressed because I could not get a visa (I have it now)

What can I say?

Thanks

It's hard to tel without actually reading it.

That being said, you're not looking for work as a director or a CEO. Depending on the work you are looking for the gaps in your work history may or may not be much of a problem.

Just play up the positive as much as possible and I would definitely use the 'stay at home mom' that the other person suggested.

No need to lie. You were a stay-at-home mother, and now you wish to re-enter the job market.
