Is it true that Albania is joining the EU?

I'm not being racist but it really will be a problem because that will give them the right to live and work here creating even fewer jobs for us and a huge financial strain on the NHS. Shouldn't the EU wait until these countries are more economically sound before they let them join?

No, they are far from it. First they must advance economically (big time) and prove to Europe that they are politically and socially stable (something they have not done yet).

No. It's not true. They are not even candidates at the moment. Chances are they will get in eventually though, as the EU is expanding fast at the moment.

I appreciate you aren't being racist but you are being a bit paranoid. Firstly, the Eastern Europeans aren't really taking jobs away from British people. Have you seen them all lining up along the road at 6am waiting to be picked up in vans and taken to a building site to be paid a pittance for working all day long? Do you know a single English person who would be willing to do that because I certainly don't?

I don't have an issue with controlled expansion and controlled immigration as long as they don't come here and take the piss. The spotlight is always shone on the bad apples, completely ignoring the law-abiding immigrants who pay taxes and work hard.

The EU sets certain conditions on countries wanting to join the EU. They will have to meet these conditions which include economic stability and a certain level prosperity as well as a good human rights record and democratic process in their government.
Be reasured that Albania isn't in the pipeline for joining the EU! You said that there would be a strain on the resourses of the NHS? Well, there are quite a lot of denists coming over from Eastern Europe to help plugged the gap that was caused by our greedy and selfserving denists who have gone private! At least, they're courtious!!!

I really dont get how people say foriengners come over and take 'our jobs'. Did people apply for the jobs were told to p*ss off cos it was for those comn over from other countries?
