What are your views on the latest 2 countries about to join the EU? |
More migrant workers to the UK, even less jobs for the British. Great. To all the people who support this, do you realise they are claiming child benefit for their children back home? All this also pushes wages down for British workers. It has to stop! Do you think it is good or bad? I heard about this on the news earlier this morning and I have a mixed view about it. I think it is good because it brings more culture into the UK and makes it more diverse, also with thousands of Brits emigrating to places such as Australia, Canada, France and Spain we need more people over here. I don't think it's a case of them taking our jobs because a lot of people are lazy in the UK and do not wish to work, the jobs they tend to take are the ones people don't really want. Then the dole scum moan and say that's why they can't find work. On the bad side of things the migrants tend to live in poorer areas bringing the neighbourhood down more as they are used to a different way of living. They tend to stick in their own little pockets and do not try and mix (just like a lot of ex-pat Brits abroad). Since the influx of migrants in my city, Leeds, areas have got worse (messier) and I don't feel too comfortable walking places on my own, for some reason their cultures have different ways in which they approach women (not good). Public transport hasn't taken into account that more worker require transporting so buses tend to get full really quick and are late (sometimes because the migrant doesn't know how to speak English yet and has a trouble ordering their ticket). All in all, I think it's good for the UK to have migrants moving over here but I think that tougher rules should be enforced. And do you realize that 350,000 Britons emigrate out of the UK each year. It's the long term hollowing out of the UK. Good luck. everybodys in the same boat, ireland spain france italy germany. but what can we do?. we have as much right to work there as they have in the rest of the EU. its actually good for commerce in general it keeps production up. the people reaping the rewards are the business owners, everybody else gets screwed for profit. if i don't find a better paying job soon i'm out on the street i can't afford the rent on my property much longer. my partner is a teacher and the only work she can get is working as a clerk. my future is very bleak. but i can't blame anybody but myself. |
