Can I actually bring my car over to Denmark if I have a job lined up? I am an EU citizen.?

Can I actually bring my car over to Denmark if I have a job lined up? I am an EU citizen.?

mai g ... car ferries do ply the waters between Germany and Denmark. For example, Travemunde - Gedser.

Bring your car, but i f you are to stay permanently in Denmark, you would need to re-register your car within a year and that is not worth it. So, if you are to stay longer than a year, use your car for, say 10 months, then sell it back home and buy/rent one in Denmark.

You certainly can.

Over from what country? For example, if from the U.S., you would have to check whether the law requires you to replace the miles per hour speedometer with a kilometers per hour one; if from the UK, the steering wheel would be on the wrong side....

Actually? Yes actually. You simply drive it there (Or take the ferry from Germany).

Your insurance is valid in Denmark, but check the actual limitations on foreign journeys and the length of time you are allowed to be a foreign resident on the car's insurance. Your road tax and your driving licence are both valid in Denmark. If you are planning to stay permanently in Denmark, you would need to re-register your car within a year and then you would need to exchange your driving licence for a Danish one.

Yes you can. If you need clarification on any other points here is a link that could help.

Where will you be coming from?

If you are an EU citizen, of course you can. Just remember your driving license, just joking. Have a nice stay in Denmark, it麓s an interesting country with nice people.

I am guessing you are a U.K.citizen.
Yes of course you can, but check your insurance as most allow only 90 continuous days of European cover.
If I remember correctly, you can continue to drive with your own country's registration for six months (make sure your Road Tax is valid), after which you must change to Danish registration if you intend to stay there. Your 'Home' Driving licence will remain legal.

Magic Bus Driver--. How do you get a ferry from Germany to Denmark.

*edit*
Point taken Nero, but I was assuming (rightly or wrongly) that 'zdenokal' was travelling from the U.K. to Denmark, in which case Harwich - Esbjerg ferry would save a lot of driving if, for example, Hoek van Holland or Cuxhaven were used.
From Esbjerg it would be possible to travel to all of the major Danish islands and towns (cities) by road, and indeed even to Sweden.
