Are iPod Commercials Realistic?

Why is it that iPod commercials and others like it show people dancing around in the street, but in real life, the only people who do so are hobos, winos and junkies?

Do the hobos, winos and junkies start out as hip, cool kids and become hobos, winos and junkies because they were dancing around instead of getting a job, or are hobos, winos and junkies the only ones who actually think it is cool to dance around in the street?

I guess a third option would be that I just don't recognize hobos, winos and junkies as cool, hip people, but I don't think so. The lady I just saw dancing around with her iPod smelled very much like a public restroom. Is there some cool new perfume on the market I haven't heard of? 'Eu de toilet'?

I agree...

The iPod commercials are totally unrealistic--people don't just start dancing out on the streets so randomly like that. Well, unless you're in an area where there are usually street performers it might not be so unusual...

But then of course it's merely a commercial--they aim to influence you to buy an iPod by portraying someone fully enjoying their own iPod experience.

About the only people I see dancing in the street are drunks during Mardi Gras (I live in Florida) or stupid kids just doing it for laughs (because it's so terrible, not even remotely hip or cool).

no one does, wouldn't you think it was weird that a person with an ipod was dancing like that
besides why would a hobo, junky or wino purchase an ipod
it's probably too expensive for them

but! XD try randomly dancing in the street and count how many stares you'll get
