Who thinks immigration is getting out of hand, and what should we do to stop it getting even worse?

Most immigrants are kind and hard working, but as I was working in south east London in the district of Croydon, the amout of immigrants was appauling. I recently went to see my old primary school for me to talk about my job when I noticed in the whole of the nursery there was one child who was born in this country, none of them where caucasian british, I am no racist, infact I am in a relationship with a person of a different race but I still believe that Britain and England has to keep its pride of being British, not necissarily white atall. But born and bred. My words above and below may need rephrasing. Anyway, I have been living in this country for 30 odd years and have worked extremely hard, but when immigrants from countries outside of the EU and in come in they are getting free houses, getting paid money and given gifts. I do not get such treatment. I believe this should be taken into consideration, if an immigrant comes in they should work unless they have a disabilty or child

if you read it i said i am not racist if i would why would i be engaged to someone of a different race and expecting a baby! jesus christ. all i am saying is that I think that people should work if they come into this country, instead of just lying on there backs relaxing and having the best flats and houses in london, or wherever.

Someone calling you a bigot is easy. But the fact is your question was never answered. It is typical of people who cannot debate the issue and would rather resort to name calling as their best retort. A non-answer at best.

The multi-cultural mindest has overtaken national identity. This is exacerbated by the natives of the country (be it the UK, US, Canada, etc). Allowing another peoples culture to overcome an immigrant's newly adopted country is slow suidicde. Immigrants instead must be expected to assimilate. Those who don't want to would only isolate themselves from their adopted country, which brings up the question, why immigrate at all?

Dont listen to these people on here. they are the bigots. if your valid opinion doesnt fit with there liberal,one world ideals.they will call you a racist,or bigot.They want your country to be over run with immigrants.they want the world to be flooded with uneducated menial task communities.they want the education system set back a generation. and it will set your child back as he/she has to wait while the teachers are busy trying to teach them a language they dont even use at home.You are right to be concerned about this problem.

Ending farm subsidies is the best way to curb the tide of illegal immigrants.
Because of our American farm subsidies, our grain is cheaper for Mexico and other central, and south american states to import than to grow themselves. This runs their farmers out of business and so, many rural unemployed Mexicans come here, it is a matter of survival for them.
Normally it would be considered political suicide to propose a bill to end the farm subsidies, but, with the recent success of ethanol, ending farm subsidies looks doable.
The USDA only subsidizes grain and soy farmers.
I don't like the fact that we are flooded with illegal aliens as much as any other American but, the reality of the situation
is, we brought it on ourselves.
