Is it difficult to get a job in canada if one doesn't speak any french?

Don't speak french whatsoever, but I'm thinking about moving to Canada. Is it difficult to obtain a job up there if I only speak English and very little spanish?

If you work in a service oriented job (waitress, shop clerk, salesman) or if you want to work for a government agency, then anywhere in Montreal, or within 100 km around the border of Quebec you need to speak French.

Any other job? You have to speak English. English is the language of business anywhere else in Canada. In my office located 150 km from Montreal, even the French Canadians speak English in the office during meetings.

depends. don't move to ottawa or quebec but anywhere else you should be okay (especially BC)

You do not have to speak french to live in Canada (unless you move to Quebec?) There are lots of bilingual jobs if you can speck french and they pay more.
The only place you have to speak french is in Quebec. Here in Alberta we are in the middle of a boom and suffering from a severe labor shortage. You should see the mess the hospitals are in because of understaffing. I can't think of any fields here that aren't desperate for help. And you need zero french to live and work here.

Some companies may request bilingual employees if they do business in Quebec or in other countries, but even people in Quebec can speak English. Even companies that prefer to hire bilingual persons may hire one who does not speak French if they are willing to take language courses.
