I study caregiver here in the Philippines, could anyone help me find a job in CANADA? |
i want to work abroad (CANADA) because i want to be with my mom and raise my family well. i cannot help you with your question but i thought you needed to know this stuff: funny you said that you did a cg course. i heard that some people actually do a "caregiver course" just to work as a caregiver in other countries, when in fact you don't really have to. well you just need to know first aid, AND THAT'S BASICALLY IT. some caregivers here (in nz) haven't even finished or is yet to finish high school, but they are caregiving! some are former apprentice builders, carpenters, bakers, cooks, etc, but they are caregiving! i'm a caregiver, i'm pinoy as well, i don't have any prior training, i never did that caregiving course, but heck i'm a part-time caregiver (part-time as i'm doing a degree in nsg here) and earning a descent pay! about your question, i guess you have to find a reputable agency. be very careful about choosing though, as some agencies are really dodgy and are only after the bread that they will get from you. when my mum (who's a nurse) first came here, the agency made her pay like $1000 for some "stuff", and that was exactly when they arrived in the airport. my mum had only $200 during that time. dodgy dodgy agencies. it's good though that your mum's there. you'll be fine as! anyways, goodluck to you. peace!
