Question on permanent resideny + higher degree in Canada?

Hello everyone

I was gathering paperwork to apply for permanent residency to Canada, as a skilled worker. There are some conceptions/misconceptions I鈥檇 like cleared up:

(a)I am under the belief that I don鈥檛 need a job in Canada to complete this paperwork.

(b)Once paperwork is complete, I鈥檇 like to enroll for a full-time MBA in a Canadian University but I鈥檇 like to avoid the international student fees & pay resident fees.

Hence, my question is that although I apply to Canada as a skilled worker 鈥?I don鈥檛 havehave to work full-time the minute I land up in Canada, right ???

My main intention is to get Canadian residency & an MBA from Canada. Post that, I could move to another country for work OR continue working in Canada itself. But I can鈥檛 afford international student fee for an MBA and part-time MBA is not an option.

Yeah, your understanding is correct. When you file an application for PR in Canada, you don't have to be presently working full time. But you need to meet the minimum years of full-time experience when you are filing for it. Check with the CIC web site. They have a online evaluation took for applicants. Source(s): www.cic.gov.ca

Anyway, you won't be the first...sigh. You'd have to come here and apply for landed status...takes several years. Lots of ignorant white arseholes like me around to make your life difficult...enjoy!
