you want the truth about canada? VERY FEW foreign trained doctors get to practice as doctors. Most of them end up as taxi drivers, salesmen or flipping burgers.

Thats because the medical associations do NOT recognize foreign qualifications, and make you pay LOTS of money to sit 3 exams to "get up to speed" so that you can go back to a Canadian medical school (for which you have to pay) and do a refresher course. Only then can you work as a doctor.

I knew a doctor from Iran who came to canada 7 years ago. He kept applying to sit the exams (they only allow a certain number to sit them each year) and he was always denied. So last year he left Canada and moved to the UK.
