Is that easy to find a job in canada for newcommers? |
please tell if it is eassier compared to 1998 or not? "Easy" is quite the relative term. Firstly, do you mean official or "under the table"? Nearly everyone here is "above board", but, farm work can be gotten with just a work visa or even sometimes without. I'd say highly populated places are always easier to get work in. If you're looking at the West Coast, there are a lot of specialty courses (like Foodsafe and WHMIS) that you'd need to get even to get minimum wage jobs. Ontario has most of those kind of courses included in training for jobs, but then of course it's all above board. Is there a particular type of job you'd be looking for, or is it in general? As for if it's better now then it was in 1998... I have no idea, and I wouldn't necessairily trust the stastics either. If you're thinking of moving to Canada, you should have a "sponser", someone to show how things are done here. If you don't already know someone, you can probably seek someone out in the place you're thinking of going. Cultural communities are often strong, so you could contact the local "Croatian Club" or folks in "China Town" or what have you (based on your country of origin). Lots of luck!
