French needed for canada jobs? |
i m a singaporean wanting to find a job in canada. Is french a must to know in order to get a job and mingle?Do they use french everywhere? French is not required except in parts of of Quebec and New Brunswick. Several people in Eastern Ontario, Quebec and the maritimes are multilingual. Canada is very diverse. In several places the ATM's are in English, french or Cantonese. no its not a must, Living in Canada as I do I can safely say that the only place that you really need to speak french for a job is either in Quebec, or some aspects of government employment. Other than that I do not believe that you need french at all. It is as difficult to get a job here as anywhere else -you must have the qualifications for the job you apply for. Safe for children? Depends on your idea of safe I guess. They sure do taste good for sure, but safe is a relative thing. =) As for french if you don't know the language the best plce to live would be in Ontario. With the exceptions of: Welland, Cornwall, Ottawa and Kingston. |
