where can i find a job for a beginner in the oil industry in canada im a general laborer in california and want to get a recruiter that will send me there

Most of the oil feild jobs are two weeks on and two off and only pay for transportation from anchorage. You may want to find a job in wyoming of one of the colder states, most companies won't hire folks who don't have oil feild experence.
You would stand a better chance if you had some type of specail skill.
I ll give you fair warning in the winter on the north slope it is dark for weeks on end . its not uncommon for it to be 40 below or lower this isnt a low for the day its constant and when the wind blows it worst.

Alaska & Canada have an abundance of mines. From Gold to Diamonds to believe it or not... Oil Mines. These places are usually willing to move up a new hire, but they usually offer that to mechanics & corporate type of positions.

In your case, I would contact the H.R. deptartments and apply. If called back ask for a telephone interview. They may send you for a physical. If passed, a start date. About a $650 plane ride later. You start a MSHA class for 4-5 days, then off to job training shortly after.
