When is the youngest you can get a job in canada?

i've heard some people say 14, but others say 16
which one is it?

In Alberta, 12-14 can work 2 hours on a school day, 8 hours on others. lol. The other provinces you can find with the link.

"C.138 recommends that a country set its minimum age for working at 14. At least five Canadian provinces allow children to work under the age of 14 with permission from their parents and the Director of Employment Standards."

They are all right. It depends on what kind of job you are applying for. Some jobs you have to be over 18.
