If i am german how can i emigrate to canada?

my friend wants to move to canada and he is german he holds a hgv/lgv liscense how can he find a job and find a place to live?

Contact the Canadian government and ask. It shouldn't matter what country he is from as long as he has the proper documents.

First of all he either has to emigrate to Canada or get a permit to work here for a limited time. Someone has already mentioned the Citizenship and Immigration website. Assuming he is accepted he has to verify whether or not his license is valid here. Most foreign accreditations are not automatically valid. Once he has his status as a legal immigrant or work permit he can google information on the city of his choice to find housing.
I would not advise your friend just to move here without a legal status because he cannot find legitimate work without a social insurance number. He could also be deported as an illegal and he cannot work as a visitor. So best thing would be to come for a visit, look around, find out what the situation is in his field of work etc. Then go back and apply through proper channels.
