How do I get my boyfriend from Canada to USA??

My boyfriend lives in ALberta, Canada, and I live in Orange county, California. He is doing an auto mechanic program that will end in December, but then he has to apprentice for 4 years...does anyone know how I could get him here without marrying him(I would but my parents wouldnt allow it). we don't really have too much money, and he wants to have a job or apprenticeship already worked out so he could come on a school visa, but we couldn't find any auto mechanic apprenticeships around here. If any of you know about moving across the boarder, or would have any info about apprenticeships he could do, I would really really appreciate it.

If you're over 18 then it doesn't matter what your parents say. For any kind of long term visa you, or someone else would need to sponsor him and show that you have the funds to do so.

The only way he's going to get a visa is to get married to an American. There are no work visas for mechanics since it's considered "unskilled" labor. Only college educated professionals qualify for work visas.

Have him walk across the boarder! It's not like any one is watching it, No fence no guards just wide open land for most of it. Or what does he think he is better then the Mexicans.
The INS never tracks them down they would never find him!
And after a few years our government will give him citizenship along with all the Mexicans..
