Should I risk my career to move to another country Brazil) to live with the love of my life? |
About 4 years ago I met my girlfriend in Paris. She鈥檚 from Brazil, I鈥檓 from the US. Her visa expired right after she returned to her country. Now, she can鈥檛 get her visa because she was going thru a separation which resulted in a divorce which has not been finalized due to her ex-spouses stubbornness and was left without property of her own which apparently is a big no-no for visa approval. We also can鈥檛 marry for the obvious. So she wants me to move in with her and go live in Brazil. We are in love with each other and I want to live with her but I don鈥檛 know if going to Brazil and leaving my job, which I love, is such a good thing. What should I do? We鈥檝e been apart for four years now and we promised ourselves that if we could not be together on this one there would not be a fifth. Except for the long distance part, best relationship ever. She is very warm and caring and I can鈥檛 bare the thought of losing her. What should I do? Sure go to Brazil, if you are a complete IDIOT and DOLT! funny, i've been mentioning 'Brazilian models' all morning on my answers... You asked this before and my answer hasn't changed!!! A similair type of situation with my Australian girlfriend the horrible options of giving up my 3 year relationship or giving up my worklife. I chose to stay with her, because I diden't "love" my job. No. Just say no. Look yourself in the mirror and just say no. it is NOT the best relationship ever. She is married. AND it is long distance..which is probably why you think it looks so very very nice! Life is short... I say go, or you may regret it one day... I'm sorry... how much time have you actually spent with this person?!? I would say go. My best friends are a couple in a similar situation like yours. The guy gave up everything, went to brazil, lived for 5 years being helped by her family as well, they both immigrated here to Canada and have been together for happily 17 years, It is hard and it is a temptation to say no at first, but why not? |
