I would like to move to Brazil?

I'm Australian, but I'd like to try living in Brazil, at least for a while. I've visited there twice and liked the place. Firstly, how tough is the immigration process? And secondly, how easily would I be able to find a decent paying job out there?

Thanks

First of all, you will be well received. You should get a visa first and experience the country.
You will easily make friends, especially if you are willing to work as an English teacher. This requires a special permit, which you should apply for through a professional recruiter.
Otherwise, jobs are difficult if you don't speak Portuguese.
Once you understand and accept the culture, with all its flaws and lack of organization, you will love the place and the people.

Immigration is not impossible, but with the massive population, I doubt that there is much interest for allowing others into the country. I have a friend who moved to the US despite being a member of a rather influential and wealthy Brazilian family, so that in itself tells me something is up with the country. I have, however, met a few Brazilians who have emigrated to New Zealand, and perhaps there is a reason for the exodus.

job is not difficult because you speak English... and many big companies like IBM, get people that just know speak English

It'll not be difficult to find a good job in our country, and you'll be well received here. But you'll suffer a lot with our self-steem crisis, if you become one of us. Australia is a perfect country, full of mansions, rich people, beautiful beaches. You don't have problems. Brazil is chaotical, we don't understand ourselves. It'll be a different experience in your life. "Welcome to the jungle".

The immigration process is never easy, but it's possible.

A 'decent paying job' will depend on your skills. Do you have a profession? Do you speak portuguese? Where do you wanna live (S茫o Paulo and Rio de janeiro are the biggest city and will mot likely pay you better). How old are you? etc.

The easiest way to go would be finding a job on an Australian company based on Brasil or even a huge company, like Ambev.
