Why does everyone knock Hitler when he should be given credit for developing the Volkswagen, building the? |
Auto bahn which created millions of jobs for unemployed Germans, re-uniting the Germans in the outer countries like Austria, Hungrary, Poland, etc., returning a sense of pride to the Germans who had it taken away after WWII, bringing Germany out of their huge depression in the late 20s and later saving Germany from a spiraling inflation in the mid 30s? Are Americans afraid that Hitler was more intelligent and had been more beneficial to the German people than Bush has been to the American people to date? Do you honestly believe these sorts of things can make up for killing millions of people, robbing, maiming and otherwise harming millions more? It is true that Hitler did some things which were of benefit to Germany, especially early in his career. But most of them were for Germany only, at the expense of others. And for his sort of German only, at the expense of others, most notably Jews. No, we cannot forgive a mass murdering monster because he had a clever idea for a car. All that dosent cancel out what he did to the Jews, but nice try. It's great that he created the Volkswagon, but have you forgotten about the Holocaust? He and his Nazi friends killed 6 million Jewish people during World War II. How do expect people to overlook this fact; he may have been a genius, but that does not give him the right to kill people because of their religious beliefs. You've missed the point with your assumption that Hitler was a brilliant man. Many brilliant men have existed down through history and none of them were the engineer of the systematic annihilation of millions of people. When you judge a man, judge the whole man, not just those attributes you admire. As for the statement that Hitler did more for the German people than President Bush has done for the Americans, that is an inaccurate statement at best. Those were different times, the nations of the world relied on each other much less than they do now. There was a global depression at the time that we today cannot begin to fathom. One last point......President Bush didn't set himself up as dictator for life like Hitler did. very cute - being provocative. If you know that much about the tyrant, you also know he killed millions of Jews, in addition to scores of other Europeans, in addition to being responsible for the deaths of millions of Germans in the process. I'm sure they were all very proud though. Also, since you are such a bright student of history, you may notice many of the social problems we face today are direct consequences of his reign of terror - middle east issues, aging baby boomers, the fact that many people alive today still suffer the affects of injury and loss of family. I could go on, but it isn't worth it - putz he killed millions and tortured millions more he might have done good but that only empowered him to do greater evil he was the devils tool and i have heard it said that the devil alows a small good to lead to a greater evil Wow...ignorance at its best. You kind of forgot a little thing called the holocaust, by which your wonderful Hitler committed genocide. Wonderful role model. |
