I am from Australia, and also was an allocator for trucks for a while. I would recommend getting onto www.careerone.com.au or www.jobsearch.gov.au. Probably best to go to a capital city as they seem to always be looking for truck drivers. You may have to do another driving test over here to obtain a HR (Heavy Rigid)License, but you would have to contact a state transport department (you call them DMV's I think, to see whether or not an American license is recognised here. I would suggest moving to sunny Brisbane for great job opportunities and a beautiful relaxed place to call home. Hope this helped! |
