I saw a salary posting for a job in Australia that said $100,000 PA. What is PA? |
Is this a good yearly salary for Perth,Australia? Any other comments on living in Australia. I'm from the U.S. Thanks PA = Per Annum. per year. Annual salary etc etc. are you sure the PA isn't referring to the job itself? PA usually stands for Phsyician's Assistant.. PA stands for per annum, meaning per year. Perth is not as expensive as Sydney or Melbourne, it's a comfortable salary, keep in mind that this is gross income before tax. PA stands for 'per annum', with 'annum' being Latin for 'year'...so it's how much you'll get paid, before tax, per year. It's per annum and it's a reasonable wedge depending on what you do ? PA per annum - yearly sounds good enough for me. Australia you will love living here not sooooo busy and chaotic like US. It's a Latin phrase meaning: per annum (p.a.) "through a year" Thus, "yearly"鈥攐ccurring every year. So you're talking about $100,000 yearly salary. per = for each; for every. annum = (Latin) year. Yes, you should take a $100,000 a year job, no worries. You'd live very well on that amount of money. I think Australia is a fantastic place, but I'm biased. |
