I am wanting to relocate from Sdyney Australia to San Antonio with my children and need help to find a job?

Hi everyone,
can anyone help me I am wanting to relocate to San Antonio with my children or should I say Adult children 22,20,18,15,. I have searched the internet and found that I need an Employer that is willing to offer Sponsorship. I have a very large back ground in the Insurance Industry so I was hoping that I could land a job in that field. I have an internet friend that lives in San Antonio so that would help us a lot becoming accustomed to the differences in the US.

The cost of living in Australia is crazy and after getting to know my friend whom lives in San Antonio and doing my research San Antonio is the perfect place to live as the cost of living is a fraction of Australia.
The average house in Sydney is $600-700,000 no-one little lone a newly single Mother of four can afford that i just want to help my children have a better future. If theres any Employers out there please contact me.....

While I am not an employer, I can offer you this, web based job search engines such as Monster.com would be one place to look. Try contacting the various insurance companies that have offices in San Antonio. That is just a beginning, seek out the hiring agency's that hire managers. You never know, you may just qualify. For that green card, go to the US Embassy in Australia, and, contact an immigration lawyer here in the states. I would also recommend that foreigner though you may be, seeking work in a government position should not be out of the question for you. The government uses people who have your training in dealing with insurance issues all of the time. A major Air Force personnel office is at Randolph Air Force Base in eastern San Antonio, I am sure that they use people with your training. Look up USA.gov for one place to look for jobs, do a search for the USAF at Randolph for the Air Force, I don't remember the site for the Navy, but it can be found on the net, and CPOL is the site for the Army. Go for it, and in advance, welcome to America.

USAA insurance is headquartered in San Antonio.

They are a mutual insurance company that was started by US Military officers because they could not get life insurance.

They are great to work for... I do know what you would have to do to get them to sponsor you.

You need to do a search for the American Immigration Lawyers Association to find an attorney who can handle your immigration work.

I would say to try and find a company that works in both countries already, talk to their personnel dept and try to get to the USA. It may be a little tough findinga job in San Antonio unless you speak Spanish, most of southern Texas business jobs are bilingual. I would suggest attempting to learn it while you are looking into immigrating or look into somewhere a little further north.

I think a lot of jobs in San Antonio were taken by the people who were forced to leave New Orleans and relocate to there, I know this is true in Dallas.
