Are americans against outsourcing jobs coming to asia(india)?

Outsourcing to India does not affect as many Americans as its opponents want to make us think it does.
Some American companies are starting to discover the downside of outsourcing - customer dissatisfaction, rapid turnover of Indian employees, difficulty in training foreign employees, etc.
I'm not personally opposed to outsourcing. But I expect excellent customer service, and am willing to pay for it. Customer service includes getting phone assistance from someone who knows what they are doing. Most often (but not always), that means talking to an American employee about my particular problem; I've had some bad experiences talking with people in foreign call centers.

I am curently in college for a Degree in Health Care Records, where most work is on computer dealing with Medical Billing & Records,Coding Etc. A former Transcriptionist was telling me she was back in school because she couldn't get a job in Transcription anymore due to the outsourceing to India.

Most Americans think that India is a town in Missouri...
Many of them are, and it's very amusing. These are the very same folks who wax poetic about the virtues of unfettered capitalism. They are "shocked" when they're told that it's reasonable and necessary to reduce labor costs - a fundamental tenet of capitalism.

These days when they complain around me I always ask, "What are you some kind of pinko left-liberal socialist commie?" (Irony is not a big thing over here.)
I dont know about all Americans, but I am against it.
When we have so much hardship and poverty here in the U.S.
Only people that outsourcing really helps are the companies.Think about it, why pay someone 5.50 an hour when they can outsource and pay someone 2.50 an hour for the same job.It's hard enough for people to live on 5.50 an hour as it is.well i guess as long as the rich get richer and the poor get poor it's all good
It varies from person to person. It depends upon the need
