Any good ideas about volunter programs in asia? or even pay jobs-supporting their people? Teaching English for pay in Vietnam is a very good option. The country is rapidly modernizing and globalizing and needs a lot of teachers of English. You'll be helping the people there while earning your own living as well. In your spare time, you'll also be able to volunteer for other tasks as you wish after you've gotten acquainted with the country. See the first link. The way to make you qualifies and more desirable as a candidate for those teaching jobs would be to get yourself certified in CELTA (Certificate for English Language Teaching to Adults) sponsored by Cambridge University but available at training centers in many locations in the US, the UK and elsewhere.
