Is mass immigration from Asia a benefit or burden to our society and economy? |
Often liberals will tend to agree that Asian immigration increases the GDP as well as increasing jobs and what not. Of course any increase in the population should increase the size of the economy or GDP but does this benefit outway the cost of assimilating non-english speaking people with different expectations and cultures. The cost on our education system and in Canada our health care system. If a nations foreign policy is to help the people inside it do we need these immigrants straining our cities. And if our nations goals are to help others why allow these relatively fortunate Asians into Canada and the US when the only reason they qualify for immigration is because they exploit other Asians (in sweatshops and whatnot). Although difficult and politically incorrect are European immigrants more desireable then Asian one's? Is correct to allow the middle class to escape their disfunctional Asian countries instead of enduring the costs of repairing them? It's interesting and strategic. Benefits There are two types of immigration - the legal immigration and the illegal one. The illegal immigration is a burden for all american people, and the legal one is a benefit. If they are opening businesses and employing Canadians then yea. Most people from Asians countries especially the younger people know English ,they have to learn it at school. A lot of younger Mexicans know English or pick it up while they are in the United States. Its called street education . I have picked up a lot of Spanish this way. Most Asians come to the U.S. legally and not in mass numbers . They come as skilled workers or to continue their education at universities.Their countries are doing pretty well. They are even more technologically advanced than the U.S. i have never had any problems with Asian people. they give to the economy. they don't sponge off it. Ive never herd of Asian people exploiting each other |
