Hi everyone! I have just finished high school and I found this university in Malaysia ( Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology) they offer a degree in Business Information Technology. I had never heard of a Business IT degree before but it combines two fields I gretly love. I wonder if it is an internationally recognised degree and will I be able to start a good career with such a degree. Please anyone who knows about the Business IT degree let me know if it's a good course to take and the possible careers, jobs available to people with such a degree. Thanks to all who will try to clarify it for me.
It is still a good degree and area of study, but if you are hoping to move to North America, it won't get you a job here. If that is your goal, come to North America and take your degree locally. If you do not want to emigrate, then by all means, it is a good way to guarantee future employment.
I would think it will concentrate on the hardware side of the business and maybe a little on the computer science side. It sounds like a very good degree to have. I've been in the business for over 30 years in the software support side. My boss is an IT Manager so I would go for it. Good luck!
