Some of you who help out at local schools, can you give me an idea of what is it about? Does one require to have some specialized degree to work there? Can i as a graduate from a country in Asia-Pacific too join the volunteers group. Being 21 and recently married do i stand any good chances of working there? I need to work since i seem to have too much free-time and cannot take a paid job as per visa rules. Any kind of guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
If you want to volunteer, they'll be thrilled. The desire to help out is going to be more helpful than any level of education. It's likely that, since you'll be around kids all day long, they'll want to do a background check to make sure you don't have a history of abusing kids, but that will require getting fingerprinted, nothing complicated.
Good luck, and remember: Volunteers make the world go 'round! |
