Is it possible to fit a turbocharger to a Nissan 1600 engine?

Do I have to get a Nissan- made job, or are there generic turbos that can do it? Do I have to change the exhaust system or other stuff at all? My car is a '02 sunny Neo. (Asia)

The Nissan Sunny is known as a Sentra in other markets (North America). Do a search.

There appears to be a few kits available for the GA16DE.

is one. Check your engine code (on the plate on the firewall) and contact the place you want to buy to see if the asian market engines are compatible with North American kits. They should know.

Some minor exhaust work may be required, but shouldn't be beyond the skills of any muffler shop. Upgrading to a larger exhaust is usually prefered when turboing a normally aspirated car, however.

Im sure it is you just got to do alot of searching to find a kit or you can try to do customly
