Jessie Jackson: Remarks about Jews Jackson has been criticized for some of the remarks he has made about Jews and Jewish issues: that Nixon was less attentive to poverty in the U.S. because "four out of five [of Nixon's top advisors] are German Jews and their priorities are on Europe and Asia"; that he was "sick and tired of hearing about the Holocaust"; that there are "very few Jewish reporters that have the capacity to be objective about Arab affairs"; [11] In addition Rev. Jackson had referred to Jews as "Hymies" Al Sharpton: In 1995, Sharpton led a protest in Harlem against the plans of Freddy's Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned clothing store, to expand into a black neighborhood, displacing a black retailer. Sharpton told the protesters, "We will not stand by and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business." And yet they throw stones. Basically, it's acceptable to slander any religion or skin color other than black. Nice Job. 3 weeks agoMr. Faint - thanks for making my point. This post had nothing to do with racism but the hypocrisy of individuals who exhibt the exact same behaviour yet feel it's ok. Everyone is so hype to jump on the persecution bandwagon, they don't even need half a reason anymore. There will never be equality in this world until people and their actions are treated equally. But that's not really what Jackson and Sharpton want is it. There is no money in it. There will always be money in telling people that they are different and then tell them who to blame. Interesting that you used the college analogy. My Medical School application to my primary was denied yet 4 students with lower overall GPAs, lower MCAT scores and who, from what I understand as I was not there, did worse on their entrance interview were accepted. Do you want to fathom a guess as to why? But that type of racism is accepted? So how long do we pay for the past that we had nothing to do with? What do I know though, I'm white.
