Expatriate positions in Hong Kong, China or Taiwan?

I've been trying to find more info regarding jobs in Asia. I'm at a lost as to where one might find expatriate opportunities? Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Start your search through the websites of the Chambers of Commerce in the countries you're targeting. They usually have a list of their members and also job listings. With this information you can spread your search.

Most expats are from company transfer. It isn't as easy to get to be an expat as before 1997 in HK.

My choice would be:

1) Hong Kong
2) Taiwan
3) unemployment, because I'd rather kill myself than live in the mainland.

The mainland is fun for the firs 6 months and then you really start to notice how rude, selfish, nasty the people are here. They basically look at foreigners like sacks of money there for the taking. It gets to the point where you can't even walk down the street and hold a conversation with your friend because some dirty chinese is coming up to you saying:
"Hello, Hello....Watch...Bags, Watch Bags"

There's a lot of expats here who have developed a hate for this country after living here.

Totally agreed with TLMF about working and living in China. I hated my stays in Shanghai and was glad to get a transfer to another country. Shanghai is a lovely city but spoiled by the locals. Shanghainese think so highly of themselves but in reality they are the worst Chinese in China. I can't stand the rudeness and the spitting everywhere.

How can China wants to be a super power when their own citizen can't even behave properly and obey the rules. Wishful thinking!!

If I were you, I would consider working in Hong Kong. The people are much civilized. Have you considered Singapore or Malaysia? Many of my expat friends are working for big international companies there and they loved it. At least, the people are not that rude.
