Moving to Malayia - What should I bring?

Hi,

I am moving over in mid August to start a new job in KL and was wondering what I should bring with me.

I will be travelling light but was wondering:

* How much a normal sized front room TV costs
* How much a local games console costs, say the Ninento Wii and can the ASIA games work in English
* How much a Bass Guitar would cost, I don't mind if its an ASIA manufacturer as long as it plays well
* How much a average Hi-Fi sound system costs
* CDs
* An average Mobile Phone

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds. I've tried searching online but its no use
Darren

you must bring umbrella it's hot and rainy here tropical country

Most things listed will probably be much cheaper there. You will definitely need a mosquito net though, plus creams and sprays before you get accostomed to the heat and humidity.

Good luck.

* How much a normal sized front room TV costs
>small one around 400-800, normal ones 1000-3000

* How much a local games console costs, say the Ninento Wii and can the ASIA games work in English

> yamaha ones around 700-900

* How much a average Hi-Fi sound system costs
> Pioneer 1400

* CDs
> new ones 30-50, old ones bout 20-30

* An average Mobile Phone
> u can get a nokia for 400

Don't forget your teddy :-)

It's all depending on the brand and the place you buy it :)

however to answer your question,

a normal tv cost from rm400-rm800 depending on the sizes u choose.

The last time I checked,Wii cost around rm1500 and PS2/3 and Xbox's prices is not far behind.(PS2 would be cheaper.)
The games works in English so you don't have to worry bout that.

I'm not sure bout the bass guitar,but I think you can find various brands(including fenders and Ibanez) around KL with budgets around rm800-rm3000.Again,it depends on the brand and place you go.

You can get Hi-fi system(depending on the brand) between rm 1000-rm2000.But the cheap ones usually cost not more than rm1000.

CD's normally price from rm42.90-rm50.(originals)

For mobile phone,depending on the brand,for a basic phone,it will cost you not more than rm500.But for the latest phones ( with better functions) it will cost your frm rm800 and above.

hope it helps.
