Wait for her to contact me?

dated a girl for about 5 years.

She broke it off. Haven't gotten the reasons yet. Has enforced a strict no contact rule for the last 14 months since the breakup. Said she wanted to be friends, and that I should contact her when I was ready.

Break up was rough, some things were said by both that are regretted, and she had said she wanted no contact ever.

I want to contact, if at least to get closure, answers, and see if a friendship is at all possible.....Have been in africa and Asia on contracts for 9months, and she is just graduated from law, articled and now just freshly moved and started a new job. Space and seperation is a given, and don't know what I really want other than to say hello (don't know if a friendship, or if i would ever go back).

ADVICE ANYONE

You can call her, but don't expect things to be any easier or get the answers you want. If she does not respond, then leave it alone. Your life goes on. Sometimes you just have to let it go and move on. Good luck.

call her and just tell her how you feel

It never hurts to just call and say hello, remind her that you never did get closure though.
You did say that she said to call when you are ready?

Since she is in Law...she knows what she is doing...so....write a formal letter asking about why there was a breakup, etc....then just wait for an answer....don't try anything else....she could call the police on you if you try to call more than a few times....watch out...lots of psycho women out there........
