Help! I need advice! What should I do? I think my boyfriend is cheating on me...?

I know I should post this question on Singles & Dating, but guys we all know that only a few people stray in that direction and I really need some advice so I have to post this Q here...please help!

My boyfriend and i have been together for 2 years and i know he's not perfect... (and so am I)...My new work brings me to different locations around the world and i have to be far away from him most of the time but i have constant communications with him via internet as it is in my line of work...I have been faithful to him all these time so it hurt me so much when I received a call yesterday (I am here in southeast asia at the moment, btw) and he said that he will always love me but admitted to have a "wondering eye" and caught himself looking in another direction but would not want to break off with me...he even made me choose between him and my work...I'm pretty angry and frustrated! Should I let him go? I love my new job but i love him too.

what should i do? why are men impatient?

It sounds to me like he is tired of waiting for you to find a steady job stateside - and if he was truly faithful, he would wait no matter how long it takes. If he isn't cheating on you yet, he's making it sound like he's ready to start doing so at any time.

This is not a good guy for you. He is almost definitely trying to make you choose between him and your job, which isn't fair. You have just as much right to live your life the way you want to as he does, and if he isn't able to cope with it then he isn't the right man for you.

Love knows NO boundaries, be it time, space, age, color, or ANYTHING. If it's true love, he wouldn't act this way.

My suggestion is to talk to friends or family in the area, see if anyone else knows what he's up to. If he's just testing you, then this is wrong of him - you're being faithful, he needs to back off. If he's already given up on the relationship, you need to tell him to please not be there when you get home - get on with his life since he has no consideration for yours.

yes he is sleeping with me

Let him go.

time to get even...are you coming to the US anytime soon...I can help

i dont know well if u really love him then come home and see if he does too see wats going on find out if he still loves u just try to work it out unless ur really upset with him :)

if you really love him, it won't be hard to choose him...

If I was in your shoes, I would let him go.

Your boyfriend basically admitted he was cheating. He went so far as to say that he wanted to be with you and cheat on you. I wouldn't want to be with someone whom I could not trust and who would ask me to choose between my job and him.

This is probably not what you want to hear, but any man that would try to make you choose between him and something you love, doesn't really love you no matter what he says. In any relationship everyone needs the full support of the other party. That and the fact that anyone who says that they have a "wandering eye" but doesn't want to break it off....if you let him stay you, in my opinion, are giving him permission to cheat on you. If you quit your job for him, how long before you start to resent him? Then eventually you will have no man and a lost job opportunity.

I can understand his frustration but there's got to be a way to compromise, just talk to him and express your feelings for him and let him know that cheating is unacceptable and you wont tolerate it so if those are his intentions it's best to end it now. If he expresses his love and tells you that he wants it to work I say try and find that middle ground. However if he really loves you he will not make you choose between your career and him, you guys aren't married and you have to build a life for yourself outside of him. I say if you're happy with your career right now you'd be a fool to give it up for a relationship that potentially wont survive anyway because I know if I were in your shoes and I gave up a career I loved to be with a man (which I wouldn't do by the way) I'd be bitter so we'd only end up fighting anyway. If he's not willing to accept you and your career I say there are plenty of guys that will.

Dump him and I'll be your boyfriend

he just misses you. (no surprise) but you should probaly have sometime apart. let him go. you guys need some time apart to think things over and understand what you really feel.

He just wants you back! If he made you choose between him and work than he is not faithful to you or your career. Which will probably lead to more unfaithfulness on his side. Don't you want to find a man that respects your work and respects who you are and what you do? Look for a man like that and your on the right track. He might be hard to find but I bet he's loads better than this Gay-wad. Hope I helped!
P.S. Do what your heart tells you to do!

aww, sweetie, your bf needs some serious growing up (letting you choose between him & your work...as if curtailing your advancement)...in fairness to him, it's probably that he loves you so much that he can't last a day without you...hmm, that "wandering eye" incident, I doubt if that is really true...I think he is just trying to make you jealous so you'd come running back home.
be brave, sweetie...you do know what to do...stay right where you are...your career is as important as matters of the heart.
so what about him? don't break off with him...if your feelings have remained unchanged inspite of the distance then your love is strong enough to withstand the temporary separation. In the meantime, tell the bf he has to be strong too...tell him "if you really love me, you should be happy for me coz I'm really happy with my work here"......oh, next time, he pulls any more drama (me or your work? stunts), call his bluff....i bet you he'll be crawling on his knees with a thousand apologies.
be thankful there is the internet...keeping in touch is as easy as clicking the mouse...there's really no reason why relationship couldn't be sustained this way - at least, temporarily until the face-to-face encounter can again be effected.

good luck, sweetie...and be happy...stay cool
