Help!! I need to learn ADP and Peoplesoft software. Any sugestions...? |
Im a recent grad looking for an entry level postion in human resources. However, most postions require knowledge of those software applications, so I have to learn them. Your gonna have to take a class. I don't know ADP, I know People Soft. ADP looks similar to People Soft. People Soft is pretty deep, and can be difficult to learn. Contact your local SHRM office and see if they can hook you up with anybody who is training. By the way, most people learn it on the job at a larger company. Smaller companies often don't have the resources so they will look for people to have that skill, meaning it's not as entry level as they are making it out to be. Source(s): www.shrm.org/ 7 yrs HR and Recruiting Hi, I'm in HR. Most recent grads wouldn't know Peoplesoft or ADP payroll, so if you are looking at entry level positions, they shouldn't be requiring. I know most recent grads work well with computers and so you should be easily trainable. So I'd say that requirement is unfair. In a cover letter you might want to play up your computer skills and any other programs you can use. Can you use a database like MS Excel? But, one other route you could take to boost your HR experience and learn some of these is to sign on at a temp agency and see if they can place you in an HR office. I've got a temp admin learning my HRIS right now! On the job experience is the only way to learn things that are field specific like this, so I'd try temping. |
