Is it true that most low level Security Officers do not have a job and are on-call for post? |
I have heard how they are not well trained and will hire almost anyone. Schedulers rarely have jobs (stable posts) for Officers and do LESS work than Human Resources Personnel meaning they pretend to work but are lazy. Sergeants do the work of Lieutenants and Captains without the pay just the responsibilities. That Human Resources Managers and Low-Level Security Officers are under-trained, Under-Employed, Under-Paid with almost no opportunity fro promotion and rarely get a pay-raise even after passing the probationary period. Also get no over-time pay; they begin early and go home late. They equipment is not in the best conditions. People who make money are from Contract/Facility Managers and up the ladder of management. Is the Service Employment International Union, http://www.seiu.org/ , a group of liars.- Some remind me of that Carl Winslow dude from family matters. They like their donuts too! I used to work in security. I started as a mere officer and in three years worked my way up to Captain. I think the pay all depends on the company you work for and the facility/contract you are assigned to work at. I know everytime I got promoted or got a raise, it had to be approved by, not only the regional manager of the company I worked for, but also the contract client for the location I worked at. |
