Does it sound like I got hired?

Recently, I applied at a Veterinary Clinic, I brought a cover letter, resume, my classes for college (so they can work around it...i only go for 2 hrs), and an extensive list of the things I did in the way of volunteer service.

I was called back for a 2nd interview, discussed training, given a tour of the building, met the whole staff, talked about benefits, wages, uniforms etc etc...then they said that they had more interviews to get thru and would contact me in a few days.


Does it sound like I have the job? I talked to a Human Resources manager from Vegas who said that I pretty much have the job, but they have to give everyone an equal chance. I even stopped in to give them a letter thanking them for their time and what a wonderful staff/building they had...and what the next step would be for me to get hired.

If you don't already have the job in the bag, I think you probably won them over. Sounds like you did everything right (so rare these days). It's always a good sign too when you're called back for a second interview. The first interview usually weeds out the definite "no hires". The second interview usually happens because the first interviewer felt that you were a good candidate for the job. I personally think you've got it. Good luck.

from my own past expierence you don't have a job until they say you got the job. some companies interview this way and then at the end they say how wonderful you are and say but your just not what we were looking for so wait until it is confirmed. don't get too excited yet cause they can still turn you down at anytime, but i hope you get it cause it sucks looking for a job i've been there

yeah you got the job..They wouldn't go through the whole tour and wages with you if you hadn't. You got the job.

they are preparing to hire you as quickly as possible once they get through the hiring process, but if they come across someone else who makes a better candidate, they will most likely bring you in for yet another interview and choose then.
Don't let them make you wait too long, wait a few days and let them know you need to know so you can keep applying elsewhere. Be persistant and polite. Good luck
