National Company has no respect for customers or employees, what would you do about them if you worked there?


National Company with 26,000,000 customers has no respect for customers or employees. They mislead both customers, employees, lie, abuse verbally, show zero ethics in subscription order taking. Human resources is a revolving door, with a staff of 600 they are forced to hire and train 125 new employees per week to maintain a stable work force. What remedies would you suggest if you worked there?

Do a thorough house-cleaning of the company, starting with the Senior/Upper Management and the board of Directors. Corruption starts at the top, and works its way down.

Redefine the mission, purpose, values and vision of the company, remembering that, according to Management Guru Peter Drucker, "...the sole purpose of a company is to serve its customers...". Emphasize that management is a customer service function, and employees are the managers customers.

There's a lot more that can and should be done, but this should take priority for the first six months.

Tell them point blank what you've said here. If you are an employee, give notice and submit your resume to a company you will enjoy working for, and who espouses the ethics you would like to be part of.

(Chances are that the company you describe, given its history, won't listen to you anyway. But, at least, you've done your part to point out their problems to them, and request that they do something more positive.)
